To Rana in Amman, Gratitude
Direct Aid Iraq wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation for our friend and colleague Rana, who has become a key member of the DAI team.
Rana started working with DAI a few months ago, having learned about DAI through our website, and has since worked closely with DAI’s coordinators in Jordan. She has provided her gifts to DAI as a translator, a researcher, an advocate, and a person whose individual and family experience bridges the perspectives of Americans, Iraqis, and Jordanians. She has given extensively of her time and energy, which we know is in high demand with family and professional commitments. Beyond this, she has helped us immensely through her network of contacts and relations.
Rana’s wisdom, passion, empathy, and commitment to this work has renewed our energy as we continue in challenging circumstances. Her contributions, in terms of experience, perspective, relationships, and resources, have been and - inshallah (God willing) - will continue to be a key part of our ongoing efforts to support the medical needs of Iraqis.
From all of us - Yasir, Noah, Najlaa, David, and all of our other volunteers and supporters - thank you, Rana. We look forward to having you as part of our team for a long time to come.
